You can generate and download a balancing report from Dashboard - Balancing report.
This article (link) describes how you create and download the report and here, in this current article, you can learn how to filter the Excel report so you can sort out the data of how much a user has used a specific expense category.
In the example video below we have already chosen the date range, generated and downloaded the Excel report and opened it, and also clicked on the “data”-sheet in the Excel report. Now we would like to sort out how much Kim Findity has used the expense category “Wellness allowance” within the period 2023/01/01 to 2023/06/21. Watch the video to learn how to sort out this data:
In this case above, the organization has two report recipients and the expenses have been generated to both of them and therefore we sort on the salary recipient to only get the value on the expense category on one row in the balancing report.
