# We are a VAT-free organisation. How do I add it?

Go to the tab Settings - Expense management - Expense categories - General expenses.

Unmark the checkbox to the right under the box *Deductible VAT*. Add 0 in the box for *VAT%*. Press *Save* when you are done.

The same setting needs to be added on the category entertainment if you don't want VAT to be added when the user submit expenses with entertainment.
